School Building: Flat Roof
We completed two rubber roofs, one of 55 metres and one of 16 metres, for St Pancras School in Lewes, East Sussex.
The council needed a tried and tested single ply membrane and we suggested Rubberbond Fleeceback to them, and once they had seen the sample and read the information we provided they were more than happy to use the product as it has a 40 year plus life expectancy.
The old roof was in bad shape and had just started to leak through the roof and into the classroom below so we temporarily fixed the roof until we were able to start work. When we eventually started the contract we stripped the old roof covering off and replaced all the old OSB boards and then laid the new single ply membrane. We also had to replace all the facias soffits and guttering. Now not only will the roofs withstand the weather for many years to come, they also look great.
